Natural Body and Foot Powder

Body Powder is refreshing and keeps your dry.  But, with all the harmful ingredients in store- brought body powder, one is afraid to use it. Make your own safe and natural body powder in a few minutes with a few ingredients you may have on hand.

This is all you need to make your own natural body powder:

organic arrowroot powder (buy here)

organic cornstarch (buy here)

100% pure baking soda (buy here)

ground herbs (opt.) (buy here)

essential oil (opt.)

 Here’s the recipe

1/4 cup arrowroot powder (buy here)

1/8 cup cornstarch (buy here)

1/16 cup baking soda (buy here)

1 tablespoon ground herbs or flowers (opt.) (buy here)

15 drops essential of your choice (opt.)

Use organic if possible!

Simply mix all the ingredients in a glass or stoneware bowl until well mixed.   Using a funnel, spoon your body powder in a sifter container.  Or, if you wish, place in a used powder puff container.

My favorite recipe for summer

1/4 cup arrowroot powder

1/8 cup cornstarch

1/16 cup baking soda

1 tablespoon ground peppermint leaves

15 drops peppermint essential oil

Mix it all together and use it under arms and breast to stay dry and cool.  You can sprinkle it in your shoes, socks, and underwear for a refreshing scent and stay comfortable too.

BIGGEST HERB SALE EVER

Plantain, not the banana, but Plantago major. Plantain is a versatile medicinal plant known for its wound healing, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and digestive-supporting properties. I use plantain for rashes when seasonal allergies show themselves. I usually get a rash on my hands, arms, and lower legs in the spring, just when I have a lot of garden work to do. So, I harvest a handful of plantain leaves, dry them a couple of days to reduce the water content, and cover them in coconut or olive oil in a glass jar for several weeks. I know the rash is coming, so I have this started long before I really need it. I use the finished plantain oil infusion as is, but beeswax can be added to make a salve as in the photo. I have finished plantain herbal salve in my shop if you need some too. I also have dried plantain leaves from my garden for infusions and tea making as well. Shop HERE
